3 Arrested with 57700 Intoxicant Tablets

Ludhiana, December 5, Channel88 News (Bureau):- Today Sh. Gursharandeep Singh Grewal PPS, SSP/Khanna has disclosed through a press note that Khanna Police started a special campaign against the Drug Trafficking & misdemeanors. During this campaign, Khanna Police has achieved a major success yesterday i.e. 04.12.2020 under the guidelines of Sh Hardeep Singh, PPS, DSP/Payal, SI Nachatar Singh SHO PS Doraha. ASI Charanjit Singh along with police party had setup special nakabandi in front of Rajwant Hospital, G.T. road Doraha. A car Verna bearing number UK-07-AZ-6333 was stopped on suspicion by the Police Party. During questioning, the passengers identified themselves as (1) Arshad s/o Sayid (Driver), (2) Mohd. Imran s/o Mohd. Babu and (3) Farman s/o Abdul Hameed all resident of Mohalla Dharampura, PS Sardhana, Distt. Meerut, UP. On searching the Car, total 57700 intoxicant Tablets were recovered. A case FIR No. 145, Dt. 04.12.2020 U/S 22/25/61/85 NDPS Act PS/Doraha has been registered and all the accused have been arrested. During interrogation, it has revealed that accused Mohd. Imran having a medical store at Meerut from where he alongwith co-accused took this consignment and had to be deliver to someone near Jalandhar. The culprits are still being questioned & there is a possibility of major disclosures.

3) Farman s/o Abdul Hameed all are resident of Mohalla Dharampura, PS Sardhana,

    Distt. Meerut, U.P.
