OFFICIALS OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT CREATE AWARENESS REGARDING COVID 19 AMONGST MASSES

Ludhiana, June 29,Channel88 News (Buero):- Under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab government, all departments are carrying out various awareness activities by visiting door to door and distributing pamphlets amongst masses. The officials are also educating residents that wearing of a mask is necessary, one should maintain social distancing, shopkeepers should allow people inside their premises only after they have properly sanitised their hands, and about maintaining hygiene.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Sharma said that under the Mission Fateh, the Technical Education Department created awareness amongst the citizens about ways to save ourselves from COVID 19. The officials of Technical Education department visited door to door in association with village Sarpanches and panches and educated citizens about washing hands, using sanitiser, masks, gloves, maintaining social distancing, stopping unnecessary travel etc. They also appealed to the residents to download COVA app on their mobile phones so that they can get updated information regarding COVID 19.

The officials from 22 technical institutions visited door to door and urged the masses about making Mission Fateh successful.

Mr Baljinder Singh, Principal, Government ITI (Boys) Ludhiana, urged the teaching/non teaching staff and students of his institution to weed out COVID 19 from our state, support the Mission Fateh of the Punjab government and follow all directions of the Punjab government.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Sharma said that to win the war against COVID 19, people have been educated about washing hands repeatedly or use hand sanitiser, should stay alert about the entry of outsiders in their premises, should track patients, should maintain social distancing, use COVA app, importance of home quarantine, fly like symptoms, besides several others. He said that the Ludhiana residents should understand that they should stay alert from falling prey to COVID 19.

He said that the under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab government, different government departments are education the masses as per the schedule. He said that the higher education department would educate masses on June 30, School Education Department on July 1, Social Security Women and Child Development Department on July 2, Health and Family Welfare Department on July 3, Sports and Youth Services Department on July 4 and by Cooperation Department on July 5.
