Ludhiana, July 9, Channel88 News:- Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu today directed the Mayor and Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Commissioner to set up a dedicated control room where the residents can submit their complaints related to accumulation of rainwater in different parts of the city. He said that the main aim of the MC should be that no person suffers due to water accumulation during the monsoon season.
While issuing directions to Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu and MC Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal, Mr Ashu said that the MC should set up a dedicated control room that should operate 24X7 where people can submit their complaints. He directed the officials that the control room should operate in such a manner that the complaints of residents are redressed on priority basis and immediately.
Mr Ashu said that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for the welfare of Ludhiana residents and that is why, he is personally monitoring the current situation himself. He said that responsibility of the MC officials should be fixed where problem of water accumulation is reported.
