Ludhiana, June 2,Channel88News (Buero):- While exercising his powers under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act number 2 of 1974), the Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal has issued several ban orders for areas falling under Police Commissionerate Ludhiana.
He has issued the order to owners of Hotels/Dharamshala/Sarai that whenever some person stays at their premises, they should ensure that his complete details including copies of his driving license/Aadhaar Card/Identification card should be registered with them. He said that if any person fails to provide these documents, he/she should be denied room in their premises. He said that these orders have been issued keeping in mind the safety of the city residents.
He informed that Hotels/Dharamshala/Sarai/Guest House/PG/Palace owners have been directed to get their businesses registered under the Sarai Act 1867 as keepers.
He has also banned pasting of black films on windows of all vehicles because when a black film is pasted on the windows of a vehicle, it becomes very difficult to identify the person/persons sitting inside the vehicle. And sometimes, some people commit crime using such vehicles as well.
The Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana has also banned the consumption of alcohol in open at rehris/farhis, dhabas, other shops and other public places. He has ordered that due to consumption of alcohol in open, people indulge into fights which lead to law and order problem.
He has also banned that no person can use footpaths to install rehri/farhi/stalls of eatables, besides no shopkeeper can keep his goods outside the premises of his shop. All these orders would remain in force for next two months time.
