Ludhiana, February 6, Channel88News (Buero):- The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ludhiana organised a special eyes checkup camp at Women Jail, here. Dr Puneet Sidhu, Eye Specialist, carried out the eye check up of women inmates. On this occasion, Dr Girish Sachdeva, Project Director, Dr MD Dilshad, Operation Manager and their team were also present.
Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, DLSA Ludhiana Mrs Preeti Sukhija was also present. During the camp, eyes of 97 inmates were checked, out of which 12 cases of cataract were found, whereas 14 cases were referred to the Civil Hospital for further treatment. Besides, spectacles were given to 48 inmates.
On this occasion, medicines were supplied by Mr Raman Goyal, Mr Shashi Bhushan Goyal and Mr Rakesh Kumar from NGO Helping Hand Club. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mrs Damanjit Kaur Walia, Superintendent, Women Jail, Ludhiana, Mrs Chanchal Sharma, Deputy Superintendent, besides several others.
