Khanna (Ludhiana), February 13- (Bureau) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday envisioned that state will emerge as a lighthouse to provide delivery of ration to the beneficiaries. In his address, the Chief Minister said that this is a historic day for the entire state as a new revolution has been embarked in the state. He said that every second or third day Punjab is witnessing good news ever since he has assumed the charge of office. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that quality health and education services are being provided to people, youth are getting jobs, people are getting free power and vibrant and Rangla Punjab is being carved out. The Chief Minister said that previous governments had never thought about the welfare of people but today every action is being aimed at well being of the common man. He said that the sole credit goes to Arvind Kejriwal ji, who is the inspiration for bringing people at the centre stage of the politics. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that under the new scheme ‘Ghar Ghar Muft Ration’ more than one crore beneficiaries will get ration at their doorsteps.
The Chief Minister said that the state has created history by purchasing Goindwal power plant owned by a private company GVK Power. He said that for the first time this reverse trend has started that the government has purchased any private power plant whereas in the past the state governments used to sell their assets to the favorite individuals at ‘throw away’ prices. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that as coal from Pachwara coal mine can be used only for government power plants so with purchase of this power plant this coal can be aptly utilized for producing power to provide it to every sector of the state.
The Chief Minister announced that Verka will soon spread its wing across the country and for first time outlets will be opened in Delhi and the government had given permission for it. Subsequently, he said that now the state government will open its outlets in Kolkata too adding that the motive is to ensure that farmers of the state are benefitted from it. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it will empower every citizen of the state and usher new era of progress and prosperity in the state.
The Chief Minister said that due to concerted efforts of the state government global Bussiness tycoons are making beeline to invest in state. He said that during the last more than 20 months some of the biggest companies like Tata Steel and others had made a beeline to invest in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is a step forward for making Punjab a frontrunner state and carving out Rangla Punjab.
The Chief Minister quipped that a former Finance Minister of state chanted rhetoric of ‘empty state exchequer’ for nine long years thereby jeopardising development of the state. However, he said that after assuming charge of the state government every single penny is being spent on development of state and welfare of its people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government has checked the pilferage in the state exchequer to ensure that every single penny is spent judiciously for well being of people.
Taking a jibe over the Punjab Bachao yatra of Akali Dal, the Chief Minister said that the real name of this gimmick of Akali Dal is parivar bachao yatra adding he dared the Akali leaders to explain that after looting the state for 15 years, from whom they are trying to save the state from. He said that Akalis have plundered the state mercilessly besides bruising the psyche of Punjabis emotionally and patronizing several mafias in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that people are well aware of the dubious character of the Akalis and Badal family due to which their theatricals won’t work now.
The Chief Minister said that the people have not forgotten the dubious role of Akali Dal as they had allowed the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. He said that the hands of Akali leadership are drenched with the blood of Punjab and Punjabis adding that people will never forgive them for these sins. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that time has come when people must teach them a lesson by routing them out during the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
The Chief Minister said that Sukhbir, Bajwa, warring, Majithia and others are a new variant of unemployed people who have ousted by the people because of their non performance. He said that these leaders are envious of him because he hails from a common family adding that these leaders had always believed that they have divine right to rule the state due to which they are not able to digest that a common man is running the state efficiently. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders have befooled the people since long but now people are not getting swayed by their misleading propaganda.
The Chief Minister reiterated that Punjab will emerge as a lighthouse by giving all the 13 seats of Lok Sabha to them in the coming general polls adding that all the candidates will be announced by end of this month. He said that the state government has done marvelous work for the welfare of the people, so the masses will once again stand with them. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that history will be created in the state by 13-0, where 13 seats will be verdict in favor of pro-people policies of the state government and the opposition will be badly renounced by people for their anti-Punjab stance.
The Chief Minister said that centre has adopted a hostile attitude against all the non BjP ruled states and they are not allowing us to work. He said that neither Akalis nor Congress have any constructive program for the state adding that the BjP is suffering from anti-Punjab mindset due to which draconian farm laws were framed in the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the same attitude continues in the present time too due to which they have stalled the funds of various schemes of Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has given more than 40,000 jobs to the eligible youth in the state. He said that a foolproof mechanism has been adopted for the entire recruitment process due to which not even a single appointment has been challenged so far in any court. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a proud moment for the government of Punjab that these youth have been given government jobs completely on the basis of merit.
In his address, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that from last 75 years the ration through PDS never reached the beneficiaries. He said that if 100 kg ration was sent only 15 kg reached to the people adding that unfortunately no one checked the pilferage of ration. Arvind Kejriwal said that the ration meant for common man was looted by the political parties and its leaders.
The Delhi Chief Minister said that the incumbent government in Punjab works overtime to welfare of the people. He said that from today the theft of ration will stop in Punjab adding that from now onwards the beneficiaries will get full benefit of the scheme that too at their doorsteps. Arvind Kejriwal said that now the best wheat flour will be delivered to the people under the new scheme launched today adding that though Delhi had planned to introduce this scheme in state but the Union government thwarted the move.
However, the Delhi Chief Minister said that with the blessings of God this scheme has been launched in the state of Punjab. He envisioned that entire country will follow Punjab and this move will be replicated across the country in the coming days. Arvind Kejriwal also lauded the Punjab Chief Minister for taking several pro people initiatives.
The Delhi Chief Minister said that neither Akalis nor Congress took a single step for well being of people in last 75 years. However, he said that the honest government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann has judiciously utilised every single penny for the well being of the common man. Arvind Kejriwal said that Punjab is witnessing massive development in every field and soon it will be a front runner state in the country.
The Delhi Chief Minister said that Aam Aadmi clinics opened in the state have heralded a new revolution in the state and people have been immensely benefitted by it. He exhorted the people to support them in coming Lok Sabha polls ensuring that the work of public welfare is continued in coming times too. Arvind Kejriwal said that this is need of hour to make sure that people of the state are immensely benefitted from it.
