Government, Police trying to Pressurising Opposition Party by Registering Cases: Maheshinder Grewal

Ludhiana, August 2, Channel88 News (Bureau):- Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Maheshinder Singh Grewal said that registering case against the Shiromani Akali Dal leaders for rasing voice against government is example of political vendetta. The government and police is trying to pressurized opposition party.

Maheshinder Singh Grewal said that Youth Akali Dal President Gurdeep Singh Gosha along with his supporters had protested against the hospital by maintaining social distance and exposed non-availability of beds in hospitals and the government’s Mission Fateh but the police registered a case against Gurdeep Singh Gosha and his supporters.

Maheshinder Singh Grewal said that the government wanted to suppress the voice of the Opposition to cover up its failures and filed a case. Large rallies have been held by the Congress and other parties in recent days but no action has been taken against them.

Maheshinder Grewal said that the entire leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal is standing firm with its party workers and would not be intimidated by the cases registered by the police.
