Ludhiana, April 16, Channel88News (Buero) A Ludhiana-based piggery farmer, who had gone to Delhi few days back and had a valid curfew pass, suffered high handedness in the hands of the Delhi Police and was even forced to pay Rs 15,000 as bribe. Piggery farmer Mr. Surinder Singh of Ludhiana want to sell pigs in Delhi.
While providing information, Dr Inderjit Singh, Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Punjab informed that Mr Surinder Singh was facilitated to carry pigs on the same-day i.e. April 14, 2020, with E-pass no. (E4573981). He reached Delhi on April 15, 2020, but in Paharganj, Delhi, he was stopped and harassed by SHO, ASI and Constable and they took Rs. 15,000 from him.
The matter was brought into the knowledge of sub committee by Animal husbandry department. Acting swiftly, the matter was personally taken up with Union Home ministry and Delhi Police. Prompt action taken against police officials and Mr. Nishar Khan, Sub Inspector, Sandeep Yadav, constable have been sent to police lines and a vigilance enquiry have been initiated against them.
