Ludhiana, December 28, Channel88 News (Bureau):- Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu today informed that the road starting from Sidhwan Canal bridge till the Lodhi Club Road (through Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar) would be developed into a smart road by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust. He informed that this road would be developed into a smart road with a cost of Rs 4.61 crore.

Accompanied by Ludhiana Improvement Trust Chairman Mr Raman Subramaniam, Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu, Councillors Mr Hari Singh Brar, Mrs Amrit Varsha Rampal, and Senior Congress leader Mr Sunil Kapoor, Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu today laid the foundation stone of the start of this project.

While providing information, Mr Ashu stated that this road is 2.80 kilometres in length and would have proper facilities for rainwater recharging and discharge, interlocking tiles would be installed on the side areas along the road, besides several other facilities.

He informed that the work related to the road starting from Sidhwan Canal bridge till the Lodhi Club Road (through Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar) would be completed in next six months time. He assured the residents that providing best infrastructure facilities to the residents is one of his foremost priorities.
