Secretary District Legal Services Authority Organises Camp Court at Central Jail Ludhiana.

• ISSUES RELEASE ORDERS OF 15 UNDERTRIALS IN MINOR CRIMINAL OFFENCES

Ludhiana, February 20 Channel88News (Buero): Mrs Preeti Sukhija, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ludhiana today organised a camp court in the premises of Central Jail, Tajpur Road, here today. During this camp, release orders for 15 undertrials of minor criminal offences were issued after the completion of legal process and formalities. A total of 20 cases were put up in the camp court, out of which 15 were disposed off on the spot.

The undertrials whose release orders were issued today assured the CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ludhiana that they would not indulge in any criminal activity in the future.

Mrs Preeti Sukhija informed that if any undertrial wants to have a lawyer under free legal aid, then they can fill up the form at Legal Aid Clinic set up in the premises of Central Jail Ludhiana and stated that that undertrial would be provided a lawyer completely free of cost.

On this occasion, she directed the Jail Superintendent to prepare a list of undertrials with minor criminal offences so that maximum number of cases can be put up in next camp court.
