Vardhman Special Steels contributes Rs 3.6 lakh to run skill development centres
Ludhiana, February 16- (Bureau) Vardhman Special Steels Limited on Thursday handed over a cheque of Rs 3.6 lakh to Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney to run skill development centres (at mini Secretariat Ludhiana and Hambran road) under the CSR initiative and project Naari Shakti. The company’s Senior Manager CSR, Amit Dhawan, handed over the cheque. He said that Vardhman Special Steels would support District Skill Development Centres with Rs 7.2 lakh annually to help teach and impart sewing skills to needy women, enabling them to earn a handsome living. He also shared that Vardhman Special Steels is also in the final stages of signing an MOU with the administration for the development of 2.5 acres of Miyawaki Forest along with Buddha Dariya, for the betterment of Air quality and development of green urban forest areas for future generations. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney thanked the management of Vardhman Special Steels and its vice chairman Sachit Jain, Soumya Jain and RK Rewari for this noble cause.
